Why are CBD Products not working for me??
Inportant info by Catherine Rudolph, nutritionist

Today CBD is rapidly gaining popularity and many people are using CBD Oil for its plethora of health benefits and its potential to relieve symptoms related to a variety of health concerns. It is very important to note, however, that CBD is a dietary supplement and not a drug. It is not a quick fix or miracle cure. While it is absolutely true that many are finding great comfort and revitalization from using the supplement, some are feeling left behind. There are many possible reasons for this and here are some possibilities that you might want to consider.

1. You’re not taking the appropriate dose.

With CBD Oil, there is no one-size-fits-all dose because your specific biology is unique. It’s usually best to start with the recommended serving size on the product. If you experience desired results, that’s perfect, stick with that amount. If you do not experience desired results within a week, try increasing your dosage. If increasing your dosage still does not produce results, raise it again the following week. Eventually, you will find your perfect CBD levels.

Some sources suggest that a “reasonable minimum” dosage starts at 10-40 milligrams per day. Others suggest starting at 25 milligrams per day. In the end you really have to experiment to find the dose that best meets your needs. Also concentrates may provide more bang for your buck since they are not diluted with carrier oils.

Also keep in mind if you are using CBD Oil to help you sleep, CBD is “biphasic” meaning that a smaller amount can cause some to be more alert, while a higher dose will make people sleepy.

2. You Haven’t Given Your Trial Enough Time

Since CBD is an herb not medication, it can take some time to build up in your system and achieve balance before you notice any benefits. Also for optimal benefits, daily dosing is recommended and may even be essential. You may read others reporting immediate results from their CBD, and that is possible. But it’s not necessarily the norm. It can take 2-4 weeks, sometimes even longer for full affect.

3. Genetics

Approximately 15-20% of people are genetically disposed to their body producing higher levels of natural endocannabinoids. This is generally a good thing for the overall well-being of those people. But the higher level of natural endocannabinoids can mean that they’ll get less benefit from taking CBD oil as a supplement.

4. Your Body Fat is Interfering With CBD Absorption

In general body “weight” is not a determining factor in CBD dosing. HOWEVER, body “fat” may affect the amount of CBD you may need to obtain optimal results. Cannabinoids are attracted to fat. Therefore a high percentage of body fat may hinder the absorption of CBD into your bloodstream. If for example 60% of the CBD you take is absorbed into fat cells, that leaves only 40% circulating in your blood available to the endocannabinoid system. There are no studies on fat cell absorption rates at this time. This information is based on cannabinioid properties and it’s attraction to fat cells.

5. Efficacy / Bioavailability

Bioavailability and efficacy refer to the percentage of CBD that actually gets into your bloodstream. The different methods of taking CBD Oil will have higher or lower percent of efficacy. For example, 25 milligrams of CBD taken in a capsules may result in only 20-30% of the CBD actually entering the bloodstream. While 15mg taken sublingually may have up to 75% of the CBD actually entering your bloodstream, and vaping up to 90%.

6. Your CBD is of Low-Quality

It’s sad but true. Depending on where you shop, it’s possible that you have received a low-quality product. Many over-the-counter and online products are not as potent as their manufacturers claim. There are many reported instances of CBD products not containing the amount of CBD reported on the label. Some products contained no CBD at all. That’s why it’s so vitally important to do your homework before making a purchase. You will want to be sure to order from a company you trust and is willing to provide batch testing information.

7. Inflammation and Diet

CBD Oil is well known for it’s powerful anti-inflammatory affects. It’s going to be most effective with a clean anti-inflammatory diet that works with your body and CBD Oil to reduce over all inflammation. If your diet includes too many inflammatory foods (sugar, alcohol, dairy, animal foods, breads, pastas, cakes, crackers etc.), you will be contributing to the very inflammation you’re trying to bring down, which becomes counterproductive.

The bottom line is that CBD products are abounding and will most certainly help many people in a safe and wonderfully natural way. Our bodies, however, are a complete and unique system that needs regular care and balance. We need to pay attention to what we eat and get regular exercise and try to live as stress free as possible. CBD is an extraordinary supplement, but we need to address all aspects of our body to be happy and healthy. We don't all react the same way to anything we put in our bodies so there will always be some people that will be helped by something and some that will not. The good news is that CBD products are safe to try to see whether they can beautifully enhance your life. The positive reports from people who use CBD oil and CBD products abound and keep growing more each day as people become more and more curious and brave enough to try this promising new safe and natural remedy for so many of life's maladies.

Be well....

Blessings!
